Connector

The FireMon Connector is a lightweight agent you run inside your own network so FireMon Connect can reach systems the cloud can't touch directly — your Palo Alto Panorama, your Infoblox Grid Manager, your VMware NSX Manager, and more over time. It makes only outbound connections, so there's nothing to open up on your firewall for it.

How it works

1. You run the Connector inside your network — as a small standalone binary on a workstation/server, as a systemd service on an existing Linux host, or as a ready-to-go VMware appliance (OVA). See Installation and Deploying the OVA appliance.
2. You pair it to your FireMon Connect account with a short-lived, single-use registration code generated from Settings > Connectors in Connect.
3. Once paired, the Connector polls Connect for work, and reaches out to your on-prem systems (Panorama, NSX, Infoblox, ...) to carry it out. It never accepts inbound connections.
4. The Connector keeps itself up to date automatically. See Updates.
