Infoblox — Inventory Discovery
The Infoblox integration walks your Infoblox Grid Manager's networks and used IPs and brings them into FireMon's Inventory. Discovery runs automatically on a daily schedule.
Set up an Infoblox account
- In Connect, go to Settings > Accounts and add a new account.
- Cloud Provider: Infoblox. Give it an account ID.
- Save — you land on the Provision page. Fill in:
- Connector — the Connector to route discovery through. Setting this is what makes discovery use your on-prem Connector instead of a direct cloud connection.
- Host Address — your Grid Manager's IP or hostname.
- Username / Password — a Grid Manager user with WAPI access.
- Allow Self-Signed Certificate — turn this on if your grid uses a self-signed certificate.
- WAPI Version — leave blank to auto-negotiate, or pin to a specific version if you need to.
- Save.
Newly provisioned accounts become visible to the Connector within about 5 minutes.
What gets discovered
Discovery currently covers the grid's default network view: each run walks that view's networks and used IPs and uploads them as inventory items. Re-running discovery updates existing items (matched by their Infoblox reference), adds new ones, and removes items for networks that no longer exist in the grid.
Additional network views aren't discovered today. If your deployment relies on non-default views, let FireMon Support know which ones — it helps us prioritize.
