CloudFront Distribution Does Not Have Default Root Object Configured

Overview

This check examines whether an Amazon CloudFront distribution is set up to deliver a particular object as the default root object. The evaluation is unsuccessful if the CloudFront distribution lacks a configured default root object.

Occasionally, users may request the root URL of the distribution instead of a specific object within it. In such instances, specifying a default root object can be advantageous in preventing the inadvertent exposure of your web distribution's contents.
