Most Compute Workloads Are Not Serverless or Autoscaled
Overview
Most compute workloads, including instances and containers, are autoscaled. Autoscaling is a cloud-native architectural pattern that increases resliency of running workloads.
Autoscaling can be implemented in instances or containers. Serverless functions, by their nature, are ephemeral and autoscaled. To reach maturity level 4, most workloads (>60%) in production environments are autoscaled.
