Instance Is Not In An Auto Scaling Group

Overview​

This check ensures that EC2 instances are in an Auto Scaling group. Auto Scaling groups ensure that EC2 instances are automatically replaced if they become unhealthy or are terminated. This not only ensures that the workload is always available and that the number of instances is scaled up or down based on demand, but also enhances security by enabling rapid response to instances that may be compromised.
